Planning your week of homeschooling activities can be both time consuming and unproductive. The Gold Coast alone has several Facebook groups full of ideas, classes, activities, and workshops, but it can be difficult to commit when trying to compare schedules, locations, and cost. This ongoing discussion and posts can also make it difficult for teachers and classroom instructors to know what days, offerings, and location work best for their community.
The Home School Hub will change all of that and make it exciting and painless for teachers and parents.
For Teachers
Promote your class to the homeschooling community calendar. Your class(es) will be viewable in several formats including day, week, location, to allow you to compare class costs, locations, and availability.
Posting your class to the Home School Hub will allow parents to see a description of your class, view your location, cost, and availability. You can include your commitment requirements, refund policy, and more information about yourself and the location of your class.
Goals
- Allow you to market your class to the homeschooling community.
- Class is viewable to the community if it is still available.
- View all class offerings in other areas, gain class ideas, and contact other teachers.
For Parents
The Home School Hub will provide a list of available classes to the home school community. Classes include a brief description, availability, cost, location and information to learn more about the class teacher. The hub will allow you to compare costs, location and make the best decision for their child.
Goals
- View and compare costs, location and description of similar classes e.g. Art, Fitness, etc.
- Class is viewable to the community if it is still available.
- View classes in a weekly and monthly calendar view to help planning.
