WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO REGISTERING ON THE HUB?
The HUB is an affordable marketing solution that allows you to market to Home School families that are traveling, are not in Facebook groups were you have advertised your activity, and drives business to your website, contact form and information.
Facebook is a social networking site and it can be difficult and time consuming to find the information you’re looking for. Advertising on the HUB website removes the obstacles for parents and allows them to see location, cost, eligibility and specifics. You can use the post and share it with your friends on Facebook.
Anyone can advertise on the HUB as long as your are marketing activities to the home school community and families.
You don’t have to be exclusive to the home school families in order to market on the HUB.
REGISTRATION
REGISTERING AS A MEMBER
It is $3 per month or $33 for 12 months.
It is costly to run a website. The fee covers the cost of the server, the plug-ins that include the calendar functionality, the forms to upload your class and tutoring information, and the gateway integration with Stripe. The website was free for 18+ months to make sure their were enough views and website visitors to implement a low fee.
Log in to your account and you are taken to the Membership Dashboard or /hub-account/ select Cancel Membership.
Select the HUB Account in the Membership Dashboard and select Invoices.
You can publish activities as much as a year in advance.
POSTING TO THE HOME SCHOOL HUB
Adding An Activity
Please upload a landscape image that is 600 x 400 pexels. This will save space on the server, allow the activities to align in list view, and when the link on Facebook the whole image is viewable and not cut off.
There are multiple ways to resize an image. First download a high quality, landscape (not portrait) image in jpeg format.
- Open the image in Paint (free windows tool) and select resize. Set the resize to 600 x 400 pixels.
- Open Canva > select Create Design > custom size > enter 600 400 pixels > Create New Design. Select Uploads > upload your image and drag to canvas. Save and download.
Activities are submitted as drafts. The Home School HUB will review your activity and publish if everything has been completed. However, if your image is too large or required fields are missing we will contact you to correct.
Before terms it can take 3 – 5 days because of the number of activities submitted, but if you create an activity outside of the holiday it will be published within 24 – 48 hours.
No. When you login and pay for a subscription you will see your past posts.
Adding An Educational Profile
The Educational Page is to market teachers, tutors, and private instructors. It provides them with a separate space to allow families to contact them and learn more about their specialties. The activities page also requires dates and times so this page advertises educational specialties that can be booked privately.
Yes, if you offer set times and days for your activities, but also allow families to contact you to book privately then you can post on both pages.
No, it is only $3 per month.
Yes, this page is to pull all the education professionals out of the activities page for families who are looking for small group learning.
If you offer small group or private instruction for Math, English, Music, Art, etc. please post. If you are unsure if you qualify then please contact me.
