An event every week that begins at 8:00 am on Wednesday and Friday, repeating until 11 June 2025
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Children aged 6 to 12 learn from nature, explore permaculture, ecoarts, and bushcraft, and develop social and emotional skills at our 6-session Earth Kids homeschool program, running during the QLD school term.
Earth Kids is about supporting children in learning from and with the natural world in a fun, interactive, and inclusive environment. Parents can choose to drop off their children or stay with the group.
The activities differ according to the season and may include:
• Gardening – planting, harvesting, composting, learning about bush tucker and seasonal changes; exploring what’s flowering or fruiting at the farm (and tasting what is fruiting!)
• Earth connection – expanding the senses, wandering, nature journaling and doing other activities to support understanding of the web of life and the elements that all life is made of.
• Indigenous understanding – storytelling, and cultural sharing.
• Bushcraft – building shelters, making string, making campfires.
• Ecoarts – creativity using natural materials.
• And more – including cooking from food harvested from the farm, games, and unstructured play.

From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm each day (drop off/arrival from 9:15 am and pick up until 12:45 pm).
