Art Program of Art Classes

My Homeschool only class runs every Thursday from 1 to 3pm at the Old Post Office in Mudgeeraba for 9 weeks as part of an Art Program of art learning and practice. Students are taken through key art elements with the opportunity to practice their learning. There is also ample time during the 2 hour session for students to pursue their own art projects under the guidance, support and encouragement of a practicing artist and art teacher.
Each class includes all art materials, my personal guidance, and a supportive space where every student is encouraged to grow—not just as an artist, but as a confident, imaginative thinker.
My goal is to help kids, tweens, and teens build creative skills, develop reasoning abilities, and connect with likeminded friends.
PS – if parents are creative too, and are looking for a way to continue to bond with their child and experience this class together – this is very much possible. Alternatively, if parents are seeing this as an opportunity to drop your child off and collect them after our 2-hour session – that is most definitely welcome too.
My art sessions are a wonderful way for homeschooling families to connect with other likeminded people, learn, and be inspired together.
About the Teacher – You can find out full details on my website, but in a sentence, I have years of experience as a practicing mixed media artist and art teacher, I love sharing my passion for creativity with students of all ages and skill levels.

– This is a new class that has a minimum number of sign ups. If this is of interest – be sure to be in touch so we can get your budding creative registered. It is anticipated – similar to Sonia’s other art classes, that these sessions will continue throughout the year in 9 week blocks, so if your budding creative is enjoying the class, learning a lot and finds Sonia’s teaching style enjoyable, they can continue their journey learning with Sonia.
